Hi all. I didn't know how else to name the board, but I have checked this with an admin on both the IRC server and on the zone server, and got ok's. I'd like to invite anyone who is interested to come see us on IRC. Internet relay chat for games such as truth or dare, uno, and an idling RPG, and ofcourse for some fun chat. I am starting a channel there for people who are zoners. This by no means says that you are stuck in that chan. The chat comunity would love for you to mingle.
If you do not have an IRC cliant to work with your screne reader there is one available at
www.blufudge.com.
There are others if you would like to check out others.
You can also find the idling game rules there, and more fun information.
Why you should join us?
We are friendly types,, I'd say we are nice, and unlike the zone it is relativly drama free and we like that there. If you have more questions please drop me a private message or email, or private quick note me. Otherwise I hope to see you in the #zone channel on
irc.blufudge.com port 6697, or you can chat in the main channel from the website.
cheers from
damia aka Candicat

BluFudge owner, ooh does that make me seem important or feel it, oh yes absolutely, sarcastic smile. Anyway yes Damia and I are openning #Zone on the infamous BluFudge IRC network, home of mirc with speech. use the real thing not the rips ha ha, couldnt resist. www.thefudge.net has it for download or if you arent sure yet just click on quick chat which of course is accessible for screen readers.

Can anyone recommend a good IRC client for the Mac? I used IaMC on Windows and liked it but need something that's accessible with VoiceOver.

Vista shouldn't make a difference I don't think I think it's just depends on screne reader. If you don't use one you should be fine with mirc

that's for vista not for the mac user. I'll have to ask about that..

Damia is right any windows platfrom supposts mIRC or the mIRC with speech add-on. Mac users, I use irssi which is available in darwin, also my wife uses colloquy sometimes but not sure how accessible it is. Irssi should be great if you can get voice over to work in terminal.
